Author and wine educator, Christine Ansbacher – “The Wine Diva” – joins the festival as part of her national book tour. In her new book, “Secrets from The Wine Diva: Tips on Buying, Ordering & Enjoying Wine, ”she shares almost 200 practical tips to help regular wine drinkers get more pleasure from their glass and not have to pay a lot for their pleasure. Tips from her book form the basis of her wine tastings for corporations, cultural institutions and non-profits across the US.

Christine is known as “The Wine Diva” because she is a wine educator who “is intent on instructing with a healthy dose of theatrics,” according to the New York Post. She avoids any technical “vino babble” about soil, climate and how a wine tastes like blueberries with a whiff of smoky bacon fat and tar. Instead, she charms her audience with quips, wine lore and witty answers to questions from the audience.

Christine has the top certification from the Society of Wine Educators in the US – Certified Wine Educator (CWE), and has earned the prestigious Diploma from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust in London (DWS).
