Resort Chain to be Inducted as the Newest Member of the World Gourmet Club at the World Gourmet Summit in Las Vegas September 7-9, 2006

Miami, FL (August XX, 2006) – When it comes to culinary excellence, Sandals and Beaches Resorts have set the gold standard in the all-inclusive industry and have been dazzling guests with sumptuous cuisine, decadent dining experiences and the most creative and talented chefs in the business for over two decades. Long known as a gastronomic tour de force, Sandals and Beaches Resorts will be inducted as the exclusive Caribbean resort chain and newest member of the prestigious World Gourmet Club at the World Gourmet Summit in Las Vegas from September 7-9th.

As a member of the World Gourmet Club, Sandals and Beaches Resorts will join a highly esteemed list of culinary experts, chefs, sommeliers, restaurateurs, aficionados and professionals dedicated to celebrating fine dining, exquisite food and the true art of gastronomy. The resort chain will be inducted at the spectacular World Gourmet Club Gala Dinner on September 8th during the World Gourmet Summit in Las Vegas from September 7-9, 2006. In addition, Sandals and Beaches Resorts Director of Food & Beverage, Armando Pizzuti, will be inducted as the President of the World Gourmet Club Sandals & Beaches Resorts at the Gala Dinner. In celebration, the premier chef for the enchanted evening and six course champagne dinner will be Sandals & Beaches Resorts Ambassador, Chef Walter Staib, as well as four other Master Chefs from around the world.

The World Gourmet Summit is the World Gourmet Club’s annual gourmet festival and the most highly anticipated culinary event of the year. This year’s summit in Las Vegas will kick off on September 7th with The Great Australian Dinner at Bally’s Las Vegas Ballroom and will celebrate great foods and wines of Australia. On September 8 -9th, The World Market Center in Las Vegas will be transformed into the “Grand Gourmet Safari.” The two day event will give gourmet enthusiasts the opportunity to attend cooking and wine pairing demonstrations, sample wines from vineyards in five different continents, listen to life-style experts, enjoy live entertainment, taste gourmet food expertly prepared by master chefs from around the world, and participate in a live auction to benefit up and coming hospitality students.

To compliment the “Grand Gourmet Safari”, two exceptional evening events will be featured at Bally’s Las Vegas Ballroom. In addition to The World Gourmet Club Gala Dinner on September 8th, The International Food & Beverage Forum Hall Of Fame Gala will take place on September 9th and will celebrate the induction of Sandals and Beaches Resorts along with other new members of the World Gourmet Club with a scintillating six course meal prepared by three of the most well respected female chefs in the industry.

Membership into the exclusive group allows Sandals and Beaches Resort to host their own summit and plans are currently underway for the first ever Caribbean World Gourmet Summit in Montego Bay. During the live auction, one lucky bidder can win a five-day/four-night trip for two to attend the Summit in Montego Bay.
