Las Vegas, April 27, 2006: The great atrium lobby of World Market Center, Las Vegas will be the venue of the first Grand Gourmet Safari in Las Vegas on September 8th and 9th. This event will give gourmet enthusiasts the opportunity to attend cooking demonstrations, sample wines from vineyards from five continents, listen to life-style experts, enjoy live entertainment, taste gourmet food prepared by Master Chefs from around the world and participate in an auction for the benefit of young hospitality students.

To complement the two days of the Grand Gourmet Safari, three special dinners are featured. The first one will promote Australian food and wine, and for this, the Australian Trade Commission flies in two internationally-acclaimed Master Chefs, one of which is Scott Webster of Melbourne.

The highlights of the second dinner will be the induction of new members into the World Gourmet Club and the sounds of the Mellowtones Big Band. The dinner will be prepared by four Master Chefs from Europe and the United States.

For the closing Hall of Fame Gala Dinner, lady chefs from three continents led by Lea Linster, the only woman to win the Bocuse d’Or competition, will prepare a six-course dinner. Wines provided by DeLuca Liquors & Wines will be perfectly paired with each course.

During the dinner, the newly-elected members of the International Food & Beverage Forum Hall of Fame will be formally inducted.

The World Gourmet Summit is an event of the World Gourmet Club organized in association with the International Food & Beverage Forum, WGS America LLC, DeLuca Liquors & Wines LLC, World Market Center Las Vegas, the Australian Trade Commission, KLVX-PBS, the Professional Chefs Association, The St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, the Grand Gourmet Summit Dubai and the Masters of Australian Food & Wine.
