Liz SeatonLiz Seaton and the Gingers Story

Since the days when Liz stood in her parents' kitchen in Scotland, watching Mum create fantastic food and Dad cook absolutely the best Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes, she knew she was destined to be a chef. After professional training and experience around the world, (literally, around the world as a chef on luxury yachts), Liz settled in Hong Kong.

Employed as an Executive Chef, Liz was frequently called upon to cook for friends, so much so that it became clear there was a healthy demand for her skills and services. Hence, in October 2001, Gingers, The Caterer for Business and Pleasure, was born.

Take one look at the photo and you can see where the inspiration for the name came. The inspiration for the business was to craft innovative, exciting, and enticing dishes from the freshest ingredients, with an attention to detail, reliable, friendly service, and the personal touch. As the caterer for business and pleasure Gingers offers everything from an intimate dinner party at home for friends or family, an executive luncheon for important clients, a corporate or private cocktail reception, a buffet party, barbecue or even food for fun junk trips.

From its early beginnings in a small-scale Mid-levels production kitchen, Gingers has very quickly grown with additional office and storage premises and a full complement of professional catering and service staff. The success and popularity of Gingers has been phenomenal. Through recommendation and personal referral, Gingers has built a customer portfolio that includes a number of private individuals and corporate businesses that range from small local firms to the largest multinationals.

Notable events that Gingers have made a success include the launch of the Financial Times in Asia, an event where everything was pink for over 600 people, and the launch party for the new entertainment channel BBC Prime. On top of all this, Liz has fulfilled a lifetime ambition in publishing her own cook books, Gingers, The CookBook and Gingers, The DinnerParty.
